DISCOVER BARANGAROO – INTERACTIVE LESSONS FOR HIGH SCHOOLS
New for 2021: We invite teachers and their students to Discover Barangaroo through a series of interactive lessons which will take you on a journey through Barangaroo, the world class precinct based on Sydney’s foreshore.
Each 50 minute lesson has been created to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of the following key areas and how they relate to one of Australia’s largest Urban Redevelopment projects:
History
Social Sustainability
Environmental Sustainability
STEM
The lessons are aligned to Australian Curriculum outcomes for students in years 7 to 10, however, the content can be adapted and used for other year groups, including years 11 and 12. A Teacher Guide is provided containing curriculum links, opportunities for knowledge application and extension activities. The Key Learning Areas explored are predominantly History, Geography and Technologies, but with cross-curricular links to Science and Economics and Business.
