Carbon offset certificate

We are committed to making Barangaroo South a climate positive project through reduction in energy demand, coupled with onsite and offsite renewable energy generation.  As part of this commitment, we have calculated the carbon emissions associated with the hosting of this website. We have then purchased carbon offsets to cover these emissions for one year. This will be renewed on an annual basis for the life of the website.

The Barangaroo South website is hosted on a Lend Lease server. The carbon emissions from this activity include the electricity used by the server and the air conditioning units servicing the server room (Scope 2 emissions-offsite) as well as refrigerant emissions (Scope 1 emissions-onsite).

Combined scope 1 and 2 emissions generated as a result of hosting the Barangroo South website are 5.6 tonnes CO2-e / annum. Gold Standard Carbon offsets have been purchased to offset these emissions for one year from Climate Care. Click here to view the certificate.
